Linen, tarnished silver, a candle, a single stem, and the slow ceremony of a long evening.

About · No. 06

A studio built around the quiet hours of a home.

Luna Vellata began as a private practice of styling rooms — for dinners, for listings, for the small ceremony of an arrival. It has become a small atelier of handmade candles, sourced objects, and curated linens, alongside a styling studio for those building atmospheric interiors of their own.

Our work is informed by old-world apartments, by the European hour before dinner, and by the slow, considered habit of placing one object well rather than ten objects nearby.

About

Luna Vellata.

A small atelier of handmade objects and a styling studio for atmospheric interiors — for homes, hotels, and the rooms in between.

LV-34 — Founder / Studio Portrait

Luna Vellata is a studio built around the quiet hours of a home. It began as a private practice — small dinners, friends' apartments, the staging of a few listings — and grew into a small library of objects and a working practice in atmospheric interiors.

The work moves between two rooms. In one, we hand-pour candles with embedded botanicals, source linens and one-of-one vintage finds, and compose curated bundles for the dinners, listings, and arrivals that fill a year. In the other, we stage spaces — homes, hotels, restaurants — for the people who will live, host, and sell inside them.

"We believe a room is the slowest form of self-portrait. We are interested in the rooms a person grows older inside."

We are guided by an old-world sensibility — by European apartments, by candlelight and weighted linen, by the editorial restraint of a single object placed exactly. We avoid clutter. We avoid trends. We avoid the loudness of new things pretending to be old.

Luna Vellata is, in the end, a small studio with a long quiet ambition: to make the rooms of a life feel composed, intentional, and entirely yours.

Our Values

Restraint, atmosphere, the slow choice.

Restraint

The room is finished when nothing else can be removed. Composition before quantity.

Atmosphere

We design for the light an hour from now, and the feeling a guest will carry home.

Material

Linen, wood, stone, brass, wax, candlelight. The honest substances of an old apartment.

Symmetry & Negative Space

A pair, a single, a deliberate emptiness. We compose like a still life, not a feed.

Quiet Sourcing

Estates, small workshops, slow markets, and conversations. Nothing in volume.

The Long Object

We work with pieces that will look better in ten years than they do today.

Contact

A slow conversation.
